The LHD only Polo R WRC Street gets the 4WD platform Audi has developed for the A1 together with a 2.0 litre TSI producing 220bhp, delivered to all four wheels through a six-speed manual ‘box, enough to scoot the Polo R WRC to 62mph in 6.4 seconds – quicker than the Golf GTi.

A BBC investigation has found that Audi dealers lied about the safety ratings of some of the German brand’s models. The Watchdog programme sent undercover researchers into a number of dealers to ask about EuroNCAP ratings. 90% of staff lied about the Audi A5’s crash rating
They found that nine out of 10 said that the Audi A5 had been rated by NCAP, with six out of 10 saying it had been awarded a maximum five stars in the crash tests.

A chrome effect grille surround and Eos-inspired headlights bring the luxury 4x4 in line with VW's latest models, while at the rear, revised lights, bumper and exhaust pipes spruce up the Touareg.
